gude d16y7 cam - anyone used it? dyno numbers?
i have a d16a6 block mated to a d16y7 head in my 1991 ex 4 door.
roughly this has given me a compression of 10.2:1
so i was going to look into the gude d16y7 cam which i feel will complement my slightly bumped compression.
so i just was wondering if anyone has used this cam or dynoed it as well.
thanks

I met the old man gude at NHRA Pomona this past november. He told me he had some regrinds for my RSX-S that would give me 40 whp with just cams springs and retainers.
I just gave him a
look.

Ya and Bill will also try to sell you a head package that will give you 50+ WHP....but end up dynoing lower than stock. Let not even start with the core charge BS he will take you through.
well unfortunately exospeed does not have cams for the y7.
i know everyone talks bad about gude, but i have had his products on my escort 10 years ago and my se-r, both with great results.
and toda has a cam package for the rsx-s that will get you 40 whp - if he can duplicate the cam profile/lift etc. - it is possible.
the core charge part is bs but i have an extra cam laying around - not worried about it.
so - anyone have experience with the d16y7 gude cam and dyno?

we actually have a couple specs for the Y7, but we dont market it as much since the cams are just mild upgrades. We didnt do extensive testing like we did on the other motors to get wilder setups. Its more of a case by case basis for the y7 camshaft, if someone is really interested.
