Default Clutch/Flywheel Suggestions

My clutch is starting to slip at high RPM's.

I/H/E/P, VAFC, 50 shot

Need a clutch to hold say 250whp. Looking for some opinions or experiences w/ Exedy, Clutchmaster, and ACT. And some flywheels too.

Mostly street driving w/ autocrossing on the weekends. Some places w/ some nice prices wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks.

What's up dude...I would suggest buying the RPS Carbon Claw. That is what I have, very nice, and holds 350-400 w/o nasty engagement. I'll let you check out the pedal feel next time I see you....April 21st?

Yeah I should be there on the 21st either way. I might not be racing though because I heard for a little birdie that my girlfriend is throwing me a surprise bday party that day. But if I can't get down there earlier enough to race I'll still come down to meet with everyone.

Where can I checkout the RPS online? Any idea on price?

I was kind of leaning toward the Exedy, but I am open to suggestions. That is why I posted this. Thanks.

How is this clutch for daily driving? Did you do the flywheel too?

I have the Fidanza/ACT Xtreme combo. I think it's a great setup. The only thing is you'll have to adjust to the pedal feel. It most definitely is stiffer than stock. However, I don't even notice the pedal pressure now at all. You just get use to it.

Default IF you want Exedy...

man, go to cluchcityonline and tell charlie i sent you! you won't be dissapointed! i got my exedy for $279.50 shipped with bearing and alignment tool. BADASS deal, one of very few with an SFI rating.

i'm just trying now to decide which flywheel to go with, JUN or fidanza...and of course saving up for the quaife.

I don't have it but I know VeeTec did, in his 13 sec 93 Prelude VTEC and he liked it a lot and I think he said it was very easy to daily drive.

I personally have the Clutchmasters stage 3, literally easy as stock to drive...im not sure if it would hold up all that well to some FI racing like you need.

HRC--thanks. I found both on preludeparts.com. The JUN looks to be the one for me.

Sushi X-

Had you checked out the Chicago Prelude Club link in my Signature? Maybe you already joined, but I didn't recognize your name.

I have the clutchmasters stage 4 clucth and lightened flywheel in my car and it works great. Revs up quick and clutch grabs hard and fast at the track and its easy for daily driving once you get used to it.

HRC, that's like the opposite of me. I have the quaife sitting at home collecting dust and I am trying to get the exedy clutch and a flywheel. How much does the JUN one go for? Does Spoon make one for our car?

Hey TW00Si, The JUN will run a little over 4 bills, and spoon does not make one for the bb6. i wish exedy would just make a flywheel and be done wth it. use the link above that i gave to get the exedy, it's a GREAT price! where did you get the quaife and how much?

HRC, I got my quiafe lsd from a groupbuy on groupbuycenter.com. I forgot the name of the store, but it's in NY and I do believe they are still doing that groupbuy. I thought it was a decent price so I bought it. Thanks for the link.
