Default dyno results, my b20vtec, twm itbs, a video too!

Alrighty, finally got to the dyno yesterday afternoon after sorting out some bugs, bad distributor guts, overheating, and a vac leak from hell..

First the setup...

B20B Block
balanced crank w/ Eagle Rods & 12.5:1 CP pistons & ARP hardware
CTR N1 crank pulley
Mugen Oil Pan

B16B Head (stock, no port, nothing)
Skunk 2 Stage 2 Cams, springs and retainers w/ AEM cam gears
TWM 50mm ITB's w/ golden eagle vac rail
Pro-1 4-1 Header w/ 2,5" collector (jdm itr copy) to 2.5" mandrel exhaust w/ universal HKS muffler

USDM ITR tranny
Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel
RC 440cc Injectors
B&M fuel pressure gauge
Walrboro 255lb fuel pump
PLX m300 wideband o2 sensor
AEM EMS

tuned by Jdogg, 210whp and 148ft/lbs on a dynojet

Also, the filters I tested, made zero difference in anything, peak power or area under the curve.

Graph:
209.72whp 147.96ft/lbs

Nice glad you were able to get those bugs worked out. Did you say initially your idle was very high, around 3500rpm?

Yeah it wouldnt go any lower than 3500 or so.

The problem was due to the Hondata gasket that was making a very poor seal.

It idles very smoothly at 1000rpms

Velocity Booties

I dont know how much they actually filter, but they didnt make any difference on the dyno.

On the road, I cant say yet.

i really really hate to be one of these people but i kinda expected higher numbers.... considering 200/148 hp is doable with itr cams and no itbs.... i dunno maybe if i see the graph.. maybe the stock b16 ports simply wont flow any more air...

its a b16b head

old setup had an AEBS IM, bbk 70mm tb and 350cc injectors and made 191whp and ran a 12.4

i picked up 19whp and 11ft/lbs with the ITB's and injectors

dont know what to tell u, different dynos, different days, different places...hard to compare

thats what i been trying to tell people. Its literally impossible to compare numbers from other motors nowadays. As long as it performs the way it should...thats all that matters.

hey nick....do you have a comparison between your old setup and the setup with the ITB's?

I'd like to see where most of your power was gained.......

i understand that each dynos different.... good to see you picked up that much power though with ITB's im honestly really supprised at that! its tough to judge a dyno by peak numbers though... the graph says alot more....

oh adn those times
