Default Buying an R

Thinking of buying an R, and was wondering what exactly to look out for in a 99 CW ITR (it's canadian). One thing is that it has some REALLY low mileage (8000mi for you imperial folk), which has me worried/concerned.

What should I be asking the dealer when calling him up concerning this car?
-previous owner
-why mileage is that low
-???

Thanks for all your help

-sil (currently an SiR driver)

A lot of people who purchase R's don't drive them to much or use them mainly as track cars. Id say the low mileage is ok, you may have to lookinto if it was tracked or not............could have been ragged out. Good Luck!!

Default Re: mileage

Hi guys,

I am in search on a TypeR as well, however, the most Rs I've found are well over the avg mileages I have seen here (I read the mileage poll below).

My question is, how reliable is R's engine? I will be using my R primary for track/competition use (solo races/timed trials and open lappings).

Also, does it really justify the higher cost of a R or should I get a cheaper GS/GSR and start from there.

Sorry, I am very new to Integras so my knowledge is rather limited. It also be very helpful if someone can point me to couple track/race-TypeR sites and homepages. Thanks.
