well if i drive on the interstate of a while my tach will start freaking out for no reason but it is perfect in town.

It will go from crusing at 4000 to like 6500 and then down to 3000 and just tweek out

 

Your ignitor needs to be replaced. Do it soon, so you don't break down on the street.

 

You know I replaced mine, a brand new one from Honda and my tach still skips around at high RPM and I dont know why. I know that my coil is on the way out tho.

 

my budies ef hatch did that. jumped all the time. would kinda skip a lil when he would race at the track. sounded like a miss. i told him to make sure all his lil connections inside the dizzy were good. it turned out his connectors to the ignitor were loose. he put them on all the way n made sure everything was nice n tight n clean and the car ran perfect after that. try that.
