Default **Best Camshaft's for My b18c**

I have been looking into buying new camshafts springs and retainers for my jdm gsr motor.my current setup is-

jdm gsr motor
blox intake manifold
ctr cams
3 inch short ram
itr header w/ 2 1/2 collector
chipped ecu
rsr ex mag

im looking for some more agressive camshafts but i dont really want to break into the block because it is very low miles and is in great cond. i will do a port and polish during this whole thing so that will help but what do you guys think i should get for cams>???? the best for my set up with tuning of corse

when you post your opnion for a camshaft please give a reason why

thanks

well do you want midrage cams or top end? how aggressive do you want to go? for mild cams i would go with s2s1, bc3+, toda a, m20 or m21. as for alittle more wild i would go with s2s2, bc4, toda b, or m22. and if you want all out s2s3, toda c, m24. so it is really up to where you want your car to make its power and how much you wanna build it! good luck!!

Put a Skunk 2 stage 7 in it, you'll make 349whp.

No, best means "I don't know what I want" in the realm of engines and cars. No such thing as best or ideal. Everything is a compromise. You just need to explain what you are willing to sacrifice and what you want to actually gain, and why?

Emissions considerations, tuning considerations, cam quality, cam price, idle quality, noise consideration, non-vtec drivability and perfermance, vtec performance, application of car, daily driver, autocross, road race, 1/4-mile, etc, etc.

Now the reality is even with all that information, you are going to get a dozen suggestions and if you are lucky perhaps you can narrow it to 2-3 based on experienced builders and reliable dyno testing on simlar engine setups.

Sorry bro, but the use of "best" is one of my all-time worst pet-peaves, particularly in the automotive aftermarket scene and you just walked in.

Thanks, headed to to the vidio store. By the way Pro1's with springs and retainers, but that is more than a DVD rental or purchase.

If you want mid range I've heard the buddy club spec 3+s are the best(I'll be using them in my build), for top end go with something similar to blox stage 2s.
