Default turbo manifold ideas

basicly i have this header laying around right now for my tc

and i have this idea that zpi did with the stock manifold

i know its not the best looking but i can weld better lol
(by the way with methonal they were making 400ftlbs of tourqe with methonal and ran 12.5's)

(a pic of the return line)

i was thinking if i do this with the megan header i have i can posibly get a 16g to fit with out any oil return issues but i also have seen someghetto *** top mounts like this one

now besides causing some more lag on the turbo would doing some thing like this give me any actual benifits??

please let me know if im just a dumb a$$

i would go ahead and use the stock manifold and modify that , not to sure if the cheap header runners will suport the weight of the turbo. got to put that into the equation too!

didnt think of that ill probly pick up another stock on then becouse our stock ones have a cat that zpi cut off were the collector comes in to one and according the locals in IL i cant modify that if i want to pass emision tests so ill need a stock one for testing

i wouldn't worry about the cat. put one on once every 2 years for the test then your good to go. besides cats KILL turbos

i would say you could go with the cheap header if you support the turbo well with good braces. but it might crack from the backed up heat the turbo generates.

if i go and weld new beads over the old ones one the flange and collector do you think it would hold better??

and maybe brace the flange for the turbo to the flange on the head??
