Do you need an alignement after removing axles for a swap?
I'm guessing that since you are messing with the suspension parts to get the axles out that you would need to have an alignment after you get everything back together.
Don't know for sure if you need to, but i have done many swaps for my friends taking axles and suspension in and out an none of them have had to have their cars realigned after. If their alignment was off to begin with then it seemed to stay the same and if it was good to begin with it was fine after!!!!!! I don't really see why you would need to tho.
Yeah I would get an alignment after taking axles out..
you are taking apart some of the front suspension..
I would definetelly get an alignment after doing a motor swap..
it has a different weight which means a differnt ride height which means a different toe setting.

Engine swapping (at least B-motors) also seems to have a profound effect on camber. With both of my cars, I have a serious negative camber problem. This rapidly wears the inside edges of tire tread while leaving the outside edge untouched. In fact, unless you look underneath, you would swear the tires are brand new! This is particularly a problem on the driver's side( where the weight of the driver probably adds even more negative camber). A camber kit is definitely in order.
