first off i will like to thank a h-t member for selling me this car mrv8killer great seller and he also brought the car to me planning on putting a 1st gen b16 in it also buying that from mrv8killer

ummmm thats not a 91 Si...

hence the tag HF on the rear quarter

look at the side lights with two screws
you got a 88-89 Hf

also look at the tail lights with the long retangle reverse those are from the 88-89

also the sunroof is not OEM its after market which makes me believe more its not an Si

 

a quick shot of the motor bay will confirm its not an Si or even an interior shot

yes he does have a 90-91 bumper but that can be easily swapped out, his corner lights give it away the most since it wont fit on the 90-91 bodies. and of course the nice HF emblem. That isnt the OEM sunroof, becuase if it was it would of raised up and out.

So I can put a 91 bump on my 89??? I didnt think it was possible. Fabrication necessary?

 

hold up first of all there is no sunroof i do not have it on right now i got to buy a new one that y its not out like an si.and plust there is no hf emblem the emblem on the little triangle thing is gone

 

also i ran the vin number and it said it was a 91 si

hmm i guess it must be teh lighting cause it looks like you got a sunroof in two of those pics.

wait what are you talking about? so you do have a sunroof....which doesnt make sense unless its an aftermarket one and YOU DO have one

your car is not an Si period. to further prove that it is not you need to take pics of the engine bay and interior. Now i can clearly see the HF emblem in your picture just becuase you took the triangle thing off doesnt mean its not an HF IT STILL IS.

one fact i know for sure is your car is not an 91 crx its 88-89 that i am sure of. Once you post pics of teh interior and the engine bay i can further or you can further prove what the car really is.

Im not on here to bash you but to make you realize what car you really have its a HUGE DIFFERENCE. If you were to do a motor swap you need to find out if you got a DUAL POINT INJECTION or a MPFI.

It looks like you got scammed and i cant not say that for sure till you show us pics of the motor and interior or just the motor will be fine. Did you not read teh title? it should say what the car really is....and there is no way in hell the title read 91 crx.

im not trying to be an *******...so unless he swapped out the tail lights, swapped out the sunroof, swapped out the triangle emblem, did a FRONT CLIP conversion to an 88-89 crx then you dont have an Si....

look man no point in arguing anymore just take a pic of the motor bay and take a pic of the interior and this will be easily solved.

 

my car has a sunroof but it like doesnt have the glass or watever in it. well i looked up the vin number and it says its a 91 crx mpfi.but the guy said the motor blew due to a turbo so he put a d15b2 in it and that is dpfi but wen i looked up the vin it said it is mpfi so i dont no wat it is lol ya but doesnt the triangle supposed to say hf it dosnt it says honda on the left but it doesnt say ne thing on the right its just like a white line

well i checked his forsale site for you, and the motor is not a d16a6 but a d15b7. Which my friend is not an Si motor. I see what you are talking about its missing the sunroof completely....i wouldnt pay more then 300 for that car....i hope you didnt either. or not much more at least...car seems like a frankenstien

did you run the VIN off the dash? did it all match up in the car? the dash, door sides, motor bay they all match? i would run those.

 

yea he said the motor blew so he put a different one in. but i dont no ill go check the vins right now

 

That car has 88-89 rear bumper as well.

Does the car have rear disk brakes? THat will help you decide on model.

 

This car is a weird combo...
It has Si seats, from what little I can see in one pic. As someone said, 88-89 tails and corners. No rear wiper, but the squirter is there, maybe someone swapped an Si roof on for the sunroof, and didn't have the panel? Also the single exhaust tip is non-Si, but it looks aftermarket. I don't know who the hell would swap a d15 in when A6s are so cheap, and convert from MPFI to DPFI?! Even IF he really blew the old motor, he could leave it MPFI and use the old manifold instead of the DPFI one (people do this all the time). What does the VIN on the firewall start with? If it's really an Si, it should say JHMED9....

 

the guy said that it got stolen and they took the tails so he had to put those ones on

it does have si seats in it hence the hole in the head rests.....

and didn't all 91 si's come with rear wiper window....

but the corners and rear lights...don't know why'd you have the 88-89 rear light unless it was a donor or in an accident and replace with those.

 

and no it has rear drum brakes

 

wat is so different about the corners is it bcuz it has two screws well how many does an si have

si's came with disk breaks in the rear, and si's didn't have any screws look at my ride...
