Anyone ever try this ?

I like it something unique but not rice if done properly.

Guess you are going to be reminded about night rider a lot, cuz a lot of new car companys are using leds for the lighting anyway...One example being the new accord tails!

supposedly he makes them using LEDs, protoboards, wire, solder, and jb weld. He will make them for you but charges around $300 from wut i hear. Theres some stuff on preludepower about it i think.
I'm actually thinking about using something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
and modifying my 4th gen lights for it. I just need to either get the money for another set of tail lights, or have the ***** to rip apart the ones I have now!

if you search around on preludeonline.com or maybe absoluteprelude.. one of those sites there is a step by step on a kid that used led kits for a trailer and wired them into a 4th gen, they were round just liek the size of the altezza taill light circles. I'm doing it with some altezas but having them painted candy red (minus the turn signal part) from the inside, and putting in a foggy white plastic piece liek people do when they mod their oem tail lights, I might just do it to my oem tail lights but i odn't want to risk messing them up and having to run retarded black housing altezas
its not too hard, i sell the LED sidemarkers for the lude in clear and orange, i also make them for the rear of 92-96 lude's in red and clear.
PM me if u want a pair, it just takes patience and a little knowledge.
i never made the rear taillights because it would be too time consuming for too little reward.

i'm no good with volts, amps, ohms, watts, and what those words all mean exactly. so how many LEDs would it take to take the place of one bulb? i know LEDs use less power than halogen bulbs, so would like 10 LEDs be enough to replace the bulb? just curious. and how would you make something like that? would you have to use a silicone board and solder the LEDs and the power/ground wires from the wire harness and then mount it into the housing somehow?
I have LED bulbs in my taillights from superbrightled.com. They are factory replacement bulbs with 24 led's on each side (in a small circular pattern). If you put LED's in the turn signals, you'll change the resistance on the circuit and end up with fast flashers. You can add a resistor inline to each bulb to fix that problem (resistor size is on superbrightled.com).

LED tail lights are starting to come factory equipped from some manufacturers, like some older BMWs, and the accord has them. i think it makes the tail lights look cleaner and crisper that a halogen with a light diffuser in the housing.

to be honest with you, unless you spend some time studying basic electronics or get a book from the library and read it, i dont think you should attemp anything.
i have a lot of electronics expierence, including installing electronics to vehicles for a living, and i still have to go back and calculate things a few times to make sure im doing it right.
there's no such things as replacing a bulb, they both emit a different kind of light at different wavelengths and they are diffused differently.
all LED's also have different current and voltage limits so most brand LED's wont emit the same amount of light, you have to look at their constant current and voltage stats.

Im very aware of that. but those are cars that come with it. so it goes with the flow of the car. imo it looks whack
