Default POLL: Quick Appearance Question

:::mods, feel free to move/lock, but I wanted an opinion from ITR owners, TIA:::

as some of you know, i have been "refinishing" the exterior of my 97 ITR #??? and i have a quick question. everything is about finished up and soon to be getting paint, so i am taking the opportunity to pick up little things such as the OEM stickers and such.

i decided to leave the emblem off of the front, but in the back i can't decide. honestly, i dont care for the red acura emblem and was considering a new OEM red honda emblem for the back and i can't decide whether to shave the back where it originally said "ACURA" in chrome trim or to get the OEM "HONDA" badge.

like i said, i think the acura badges are less appealing then the honda badges and right now im leaning towards the honda badges to compliment the honda center caps already on the car. god imma ricer

i just wanted to see what the ITR community thought of this. anyways, here are some pics:

***there was no chrome acura badge when i bought it, just the two holes in the trunk.

Honda badges, especially since you already have the center caps.

Well that's the obvious answer if he wants the car to actually look good but since it isn't a choice I went with replace with stock "A" badges.

ok i solved your problem

shave the emblem holes, but buy the emblems and snap off the little pegs on the back of the emblem and just use the double sided tape, and you can have them on and take them off as you please, and that way there will be no holes when you take them off and when you want them back on just put them back on

No, you gave me an idea to solve his problem. Over time the tape would just get messy. I first vote in agreement with Bob, keep it OEM 97, or Put magnets on the back of the emblems so you can take them off with the holes shaved.

Best one. This is how I have my rear, and I love it. Very clean looking.

very interesting replies. everything is pretty mixed. i kinda ruled out shaving everything, and i think it would look "naked" is i did so. now, im most likely goning to do the red honda emblem on the back and be done. although, i think i might pick up the all the OEM acura badges just to have since its a 97 and keep them in a safe place
