Default 96-00 civic Koni Struts parts list?

I got my struts in the other week, and my front struts came with these 2 little silver rings that come down and sit on the C-clip. But I didn't get thoose rings for the rear one's, are they suppose to come with the rear ones also?

Thanks
Alex

No on can give you a specific answer because it has been both ways over time: no circlip groove in the bottom of the spring perch and a rings under the perch with a groove or a circlip groove in the bottom of the spring perch and no ring needed.

You have to look at the bottom side of your spring perches and see if they have a circlip retailing groove or not. If it has a groove, no ring is needed. If it does not have a groove, then you need a retaining ring. Your parts will tell you if you need a riung or not.

Ok you just confused the shizzle out of me On the bottom of the thing that the spring sits in (I call it the spring cup) it has a grove in it and the C-clip sits in it perfectly, so I guess I don't need that ring for the rear's. It just confused me because the front came with it and the rear's didn't. Another question for you guys I'm going to use H&R sport springs do I move the C-clip to the lowest notch or do I leave in the stock position. My rim and tires 205-45-16

Thanks
Alex

That is the spring perch

The key is the presence or absence of groove. No groove = needs rings, Groove = no rings

If you use lowering springs like the H&Rs, leave the C-clip in the stock location. The lowering location is made for lowering the car when using stock springs. Use one lowering system of the other but not both as you would have a cumulative effect and it will be too low.
