Default koyo radiator

i recently purchased a koyo radiator and installed it. when i installed it i found that the stock cooling fan shroud does not fit the koyo radiator. the distance between the two bolt holes on the fan shroud is approx 2-3 inches shorter than the distance between the bolt holes on the koyo radiator. it doesnt even come close to lining up.

any suggestions on where i might be able to find a fan shroud that would fit the koyo radiator??

make sure you bought one for your model alot of ebay koyo (and the knockoffs) dont specify what model its for. if you wanna rig something up get a metal strip bolt in on fans and use it to extend to the radiator and bolt that? possibility

i have a koyo radiator for my 96 accord(94-97 accord and 97-01 prelude koyo rad) and the fan fits up fine but i dont have enough room due to my h22a I have to buy slimfans.

Also, I dont know for sure, but im pretty sure prelude radiator caps wont fit the koyo, you need a type F radiator cap(ef or da will work as well)

I had the same problem.

In fact it is because honda did two types of radiators, one was for fan coming from company X another from company Y. KOYO makes only one, so you have 50% of chance it will fit.

It is when you stand behind the vehicle left upper and lower mounting that do not fit. Just use metal stripes to make the extensions and bolt them.

fan mounts are different on the h22 and h23

my cooling fan stopped working and i ordered one on ebay.....well it was for the h23 and did not fit

that being said i have a brand new a/c fan for h23 if anyone needs

shortly after all that i bought the koyo and the koyo cap.....and ordered a single 13" slim fan and custom mounting brackets from http://www.spal-usa.com/

WHat is the part number that you received. r1949 is for the s model. R1979 is of SI/VTEC.
