Default Pre Build Questions

Im in the process of doing research on what i to buy for my mild gsr build.

The setup im thinking about is:

Portflow GSR Head with Complete BC Valvetrain and Spec 4 Cams
Stock Rods
JDM B16 or JDM ITR Pistons
New ITR Style Intake Manifold
JDM ITR 2.5" Header
T1R Exhaust
ARP Head Studs and Rod Bolts.

My question is what pistons should i use?
Will it be safe to rev to 9k max?
Will i have enough compression to get the most out of the spec 4's?
Are there any other things i should think about changing?

With a cam like the BC4, id run at least a P73-00 piston. P30 will do you well also. UPGRADE THE ROD BOLTS if you plan on revving to the sky, and make sure you know that that header will make power, but there's plenty more power to be had with a better header.

With that motor, adding engine management would be your next step. Put some ARP rod bolts in it, I personally would use the ITR piston, head studs and crome pro/ H-data. After engine management would be a better header and you'll make power. Good luck.

T1R exhaust why not T1R header or the vibrant copy of it better than a jdm 4-1. Dan
