mount problem ( b18c in 91 crx) PICS needed
ok so i dropped my b18C into my 91 crx with tranny and all attached.. got the side mounts bolted up fine, but when i put the rear mount/bracket on( it was the same rear mount/bracket that i used when i had the b16 in the car) the bracket is about half an inch too long for the bolt to go through the bracket and trough the rear hasport mount..
i also noticed that if i rock the motor the back of the tranny hits the rear crossmember, almost as if the whole motor is too far back in the engine bay.. does anyone have any install pics of a b18c in a crx so maybe i can get some idea if my clearances are correct or not.. maybe a pic of how the motor sets/ how high it sets...
ONE MORE THING, how many different types of drivers side motor mount brackets are there?? because i found one in my shop that had the offset stud and it seems to work fine( seeing as the motor is in the car) is there one that is just slightly different?? i could get a good idea if someone would post a pic of a drivers side mount bracket off of a 90-91 teg..
TIA.

did you miss the part where he previously said he had a b16 in the car? he would've already modified the crossmember to accomodate the previous motor.

well the rear tranny mount and lt side mount that I used is from a 90-93 Integra. No problems with fitment, It was a bitch to line up the rear holes.

best pic I had

You need to use 90-93 brackets.
The rear mount goes in first then the trans, then the driver's side.
Make sure you swap your cam belt mount to the 1 post, 1 bolt version from an old DA because the 2 stud unit is from a DC car and will screw stuff up.
HASport's site has/had really good info on this.
