Stock for your car is 185/65-14

205/45-16 is the best 16" size for your car.

215/45-16 is too wide your car. Get better tires not bigger tires.

Actually 205/45-16 is a perfect size to use.

Which model and version Civic (EX Sedan, DX Hatchback, etc)? (Yes, it makes a difference.)

If your car came with 185/65-14 or 195/55-15 tires stock, then you can use either 205/45-16 or 215/45-16.

Your car came with 185/65-14 tires from the factory. 205/45-16 tires are 0.8 percent smaller (in outer diameter) than 185/65-14, and 215/45-16 tires are 0.7 percent bigger. You should be able to use either one on your car. I want to say they won't rub at all, but kaibigan can tell you for sure.
