Couple of tech questions? 400hp, stock headgasket? Stock cam belt?
I have a couple of questions regarding my engine build, I am aiming for 400hp on a boosted h22.
I have 2 choices (maybe 3) in regards to headgasket, stock thickness cometic headgasket or a motor factors copy of the stock headunit. Or its not too late for me to order the stock honda headgasket but also do not want to waste money if its not really needed.
Your help is much appreciated

OEM and aftermarket headgaskets (Cometic) will hold over 800+WHP (depending on your tune) but the question is, do you have the piston to head clearance to run a factory headgasket.
The problem with using factory headgasket is that you only have one thickness to choose from. With aftermarket gaskets you can choose your thickness.
The more power you make the more critical it is to have all the right clearances.
With a built block, there are so many variables. Check to see how much the piston hangs out the block because sometimes when the block is decked the piston will hang out a few thousands. You need to make sure you have at least .040 piston to head clearance.
I use Cometic headgasket and a OEM timing belt and I make over 800WHP
