How is theft with you DC5 and EP3 folks?

How is theft with you DC5 and EP3 folks?
I'm in the market for a used car and I have the DC5 and EP3 at the bottom of my list, but has the potential to rise to the top. I would like to avoid the mass paranoia I endured during my ownership of my ITR. What is the theft scene like? I understand that having a modded car increases the chance of theft, but can the Honda theft scene be that bad?

I never worry about my ep3 and it spends most days in an office parking lot that I cant see. However, I live in Lexington, KY, not exactly the hotbead of the world for car theft and I dont go around broadcasting when I do mod something.

I live in northern NJ. So I'm already at a disadvantage. I was hoping that these cars were ignored in the theft world.

the ep3 maybe because the motor is undesirable, but the dc5 i would say could have potential with the increase in swapping k's

DC5's aren't really stolen much at all. Nothing like the old Teg's. As said earlier I also see that changing in the future as K swaps become more popular.

but anyways back to the theft. I have lo jack and viper alarm on mine so that way it will page me when their breaking in or if they manage to get in I got lo jack so the cops arrest their *** *btw its early response lo jack to and 2 kill switches hiden well in my car

Mine was a type S. They did not get the Wats because I had them off at the time since the tires were getting bald. I did have a dvd/video system in it though. Everything was gone and stolen. I kept this car in my driveway everyday since I also own an ITR that stays in the backyard locked up, chained up with my dog as 24 hour security. The type s was my daily driver and also semi fun car while the ITR was getting built up more. This truled sucked because I liked the type s a lot. It saved gas when needed to and kicked **** when it had too

rent-a-cops get paid to sit around and do nothing and they prefer it to be that way... they don't give a **** if a thief is usually stealing a honda...
its not worth their time and money and aggravation to try to stop some *** trying to jimmy a RSX or a Civic...they'll just leave it be and enjoy their day and then at the end of the week, collect their paycheck and go home.

layered security is better than nothing. and if a car gets stolen, a robbery happens and no one is there to assist on the rentacop's watch here. they will get penalized. i dont know how, but they will some way or another.

I've had my EP3 almost 2 years... broken into twice. People LOVE the seats and steering wheels! I live on Long Island, NY... So it's expected.
