Whats the difference between a usdm type R motor and jdm type R? {more specific} hp/tq and engine code. Also, are the trany's the same?

usdm : B18C5

Jdm : B18C

im to lazy to type the specifics...

 

so jdm type r say only b18c. how do you tell the difference between an sir-g motor and a jdm type r? im guessing the head. i think

the intake manifold will be a dead give away.

instead of bumping why not search? its out there in many places.

 

JDM ITR motor= more agressive cams, higher compression pistons, better tuned ECU

UDSM itr motor rated 195hp from the factory
98 spec JDM itr motor rated 210hp from the factory
96-97 itr motor rated 200hp from the factory
