? About condition of car after theft recovery
Hey guys, when I recovered my car it was sitting on the rotors and the column was broken. I put new wheels on it and got it running again. Took it for a quick drive (I have no bumpers, lights, or tailights) and to keep it straight I had to keep the steering wheel at about the 11 O'clock postion. It doesnt look to me that the car is damaged at all but after this whole experience I am a little paranoid and was hoping if you guys could tell me if that just sounds like the alignment need adjusting. Would sitting it on the rotors do that?
Thanks
Thanks
At least you got it back...
...With that said, check the underside of the car for any obvious damage(s). I would replace the brake rotors front and rear since they are relatively cheap. Be sure to look for damage to the fuel tank, and the fuel lines as well. Good luck.

The gas tank is fine, they actually put rear wheels on it before they dumped it, guess they used a tow dolley or something to get rid of it. I'll check the sway bar links though.
One more question, I looked at the undercarriage and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary except for the dust shield being bent. My question is, if when the broke my ignition out of the column they did it by jerking the wheel as hard as they could, could that have just put my steering wheel out of alignment? If so, how would I re-adjust it?

highly unlikely.
most likely somthing to the undercarriage. being dropped on the ground. chances are pretty good if they found it with out rims. when they towed it they just dragged it on to the flat bed
