B16 has a shorter deck height than the LS blocks. They wont thread in completely. ARP makes studs specifically for the combo youre going to run.

Edit: My stupidity. The GSR/Type R will work, i used those for my build and a few others. The below poster is correct, i just had a brain fart.

The ls studs will not work for you. The two middle studs will be too long. You will need to get some gsr or type r studs.

you dont even have to use arp's you can use stock head bolts and you will be fine. with head studs you will have to pull the head back off after running the motor to retouch them. they are hard to get the correct specs on them the fisrt time.

B16A block + B16A head = B16 head studs(not GSR, not LS)

LS block + GSR head = GSR head studs
LS block + B16A Head = GSR Head studs
B20 block _B16/GSR Head = GSR head studs

SOHC:

D16A6 motor = ARP D16Z6 head stud kit
D16Z6 motor = ARP D16Z6 head stud kit

D16Y8 motor = ARP D16Y8 head stud kit
