i got altezzas on my teg and i wanna smoke them(not jus paint them black), how would i do this. i want them to still be legal though

dont think smoking your tails is legal.
What I did was I got some clear coat, black dye, and mixed it together. I put it into a spray gun and shot my tails.
Came out really glossy, very dark, but still allowed for A LOT of light to shine through. The brake lights were still very visible even in direct sunlight.
