Default to those members with jdm conversion. quick easy question. thanks for responding.

when you did your itr headlights. did u use the jdm socket or usdm socket for the corners? the jdm one only has 2 wires and i dont think it is possible to get the corner to stay on and blink at the same time so i was thinking about using the usdm socket. thanks HT !

Just use the USDM one it'll be easier for you..just make sure you put it on tight or else condensation will occur in the light

They aren't suppossed to stay on. They are turn signals.

ummm you can't use the USDM sockets for the corners. They're either 1156 or 1157 bulbs that you're gonna use if you do the jdm front end conversion. The JDM conversion comes with the ones for 1156 bulbs ( single filament ). If you want the corners to blink and be on constantly when not using the signal, your gonna need the socket meant for an 1157 bulb. Those will have 3 wires.

On your USDM wiring harness for your usdm corners you should have 4 wires on each side. Two of them will be ground ( one of which you will not be using ). The other two are flash and constant. I don't remember which one's which. Wire accordingly

Correct. I didn't have a switch and my car didn't come with USDM foglights, so my foglights were wired in with the running lights. I might buy one someday so I can turn them on and off.

Both the corners and the sidemarkers are only on with the turn signals and hazards.

kuja. thanks, what did u have to do to the universal to get them to fit and what bulb do they use?

another thing i noticed that was odd while playing with my headlights was that the orange coating around the corner blinkers rubbed off very easily.

Oh, yeah it definately does. After I had my accident I handled the bulbs from the USDM corner lenses, needless to say they flaked. Oh well, not like I needed them anymore.

yeah thanks for your input, much is appreciated. i kind of found this out while i was working with it for an hour or two. the thing is my usdm harness was cut and i did not have any sockets at all. that was making it a lil tougher. but i think everything is good for now.

how do you guys run your headlights on parking light mode?

In parking light mode my day time lights and fog lights are on. Only reason the fogs are on is because I don't have a switch.

I'm guessing you blew the same fuse I did, that controls the gauge cluster and the taillights. If so you need to up a certain fuse. Lemme look back through my threads and fidn the answer for you. I had the same problem. I assume you have HIDs?

I kept blowing the instrument panel fuse, which is a 7.5a. I upped that to a 10 with no luck, it just kept blowing. It would always blow when I'd turn my headlights on for the first time. Once I figured this out I upped the low beam fuse fro ma 10a to a 15a. Problem solved I believe. I'll check all my fuses today and post tonight with which ones I switched.

yes i am blowing that fuse. when that fuse blows, my city lights, foglights, gauge cluster, and taillights go out. It blew once and i replaced it last night. I hope it doesnt blow again! oh and i dont have HID

I used to have the non-HID headlights. If you're blowing a fuse or several fuses its obvious to me that something in the wiring is NOT right. If I were you, I'd check ALL of them ( relevant to the issue first, say all the headlight wiring ) to see if something is grounding out, exposed, pinched, basically anything that could short or cause a fuse to blow. After you find it, and if you haven't already, sodder all connections you may have made and ensure to use that shrink wrap tube. I've never blown a fuse until I upgraded to the HIDs

At that point it was one of those "D'OH!" issues because I didn't use a higher amp fuse ( yea...I kept the 10amps in LOL....I used 30amps and its been fine ever since ).

okay so, the fuses are no longer a problem. no wires are loose since everything is working, its just the driver side foglight isnt staying on for 4 seconds after i unlock the car. it seems like a current or voltage issue?
