turbo or all motor
what up . my name is tony i have 96 integra LS. i have some work done to it alredy. ie, catback, headers, cold air intake, springs, thats about it. i am curious if i am better off putting a bolt on turbo on it or just adding lots of engine mods.
you have headers? interesting. i think you mean you have a header.
if you want to net the most HP for the least amount of money, i would go turbo. you have an LS which is a good platform to start for a boosted motor.
if you went all motor, you would have to spend tons more money just to achieve the same amount of power you would from a turbo. the cost/power ratio is just not worth it, IMO.
boost your LS
don't forget to get it tuned

all-motor is usually pretty pricey... but then again, turbo can be just as pricey!! Turbo gives you more HP for your money, but will be tougher to maintain... also, your LS motor is a good candidate for turbo, rather than N/A

All motor is good for track, you won't have traction issues and you can control your power more precisly. Iis easier to have an N/A car for a daily driver then a boosted one. The cost to obtain the same HP as you would with boost, it would be drasticly higher with N/A. But that does not mean that turbo is better.
Boost is good for a drag strip. Keep in mind, generally this will put more stress onto your engine. More frequent oil changes, parts failing, and etc... It can get pretty expensive for maintence. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Couldn't agree more. I traded boost for reliability because I needed a break from all the little problems associated with a boosted cars. But after college and everything is out of the way, I will build a boosted car on the side but keep my GSR n/a so I have a dependable daily driver. I do miss boost a LOT, but priorities come first.
