dealer charge
To the guy that just PMed me about it- I think it starts on April 3 and as far as I know it's nationwide. Call your local dealer and schedule a time to come in. For some reason my PM window is too small and I can't hit the send button.
Yes, customer appreciation week this year is Monday April 3rd through Friday April 7th.
Thank God I'll be at away at school for Acura that week...I hate customer appreciation week. Those 45 point inspections...for a solid week it's all we do, and it sucks
But it's a great thing for guys who are looking for freebies I guess.
As for the tune up. I'de say just do it yourself. We charge too much for labor and too much for parts for something that simple. But hey might as well ask when you go in for your free 45 point inspection.

You could take an 86 Legend for all we care
Basically a 45 point inspection is...wait I keep forgetting not everyone has yearly car inspections. For PA poeple, it's basically the yearly car inspection, minus the emissions test.
But, briefly, we check:
Lights (all, make sure they work)
Brakes (pads, discs)
Tires (tread depth, cracks, punctures)
Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc
Belts, hoses
Battery (charging, corrosion, etc)
Wipers (sprayers and blade condition)
All fluids/levels
Those are the major things. Nothing else is free. Hell, if we have to top off your wiper fluid, or antifreeze...guess who's paying for it? Not us. We just basically look everything over, and tell you if anything is bad/damaged/needs replaced/etc.
I guess it's just Acura's way of masking their high prices for parts and labor...give out something "free" and make everyone feel better. Of course, our dealership vacuums out your car and washs it too (but we do that every time, every day, not just during this stupid week).
So call up and make an appt. I guess
