Alright I did a search in both the archives and recent, but was unable to find a picture. My speedometer isn't working now, and I have a check engine light that comes on. So I'm assuming that the cable either came off of the tranny, or on the back of my gauge cluster. The thing I need help with is, where is the cable located on the tranny? can someone post a pic of it or describe to me exactly where it's at? Thanks

 

your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is located on top of the transmission, underneath your intake tubing.

 

Thanks, I'll try to look for it, but a picture would be nice, I was trying to find out which cable it was that was coming from the fire wall.

 

You don't have a speedo cable. 3rd gens have electric VSS's, located on the top of tranny, like geezer said.

2nd gens, like mine, have a speedo cable, with the VSS in the back of speedo gauge, in the cluster.

So you're never going to find a speedo cable on your 95 GSR because it doesn't have one
