KYB AGX/Eibach Sportline owners PLEASE LOOK!!!
Woke up at the crack of dawn today to go over and help my buddy do the suspension on his 4th gen. Now, I've done this twice on my own lude, and once on my EG before that, so I've pretty much got this down, however, a problem arose this time. In the instructions for the Eibach springs it says, "Always have the letting on our springs face right side up when installed." The problem is that the rear springs have very poor contact with the perches if the lettering on the springs is facing up, however, if you flip the spring so the lettering is up side down, it fits perfectly on the rear perch. Also, I know that we have all of the right parts because we checked the part numbers on the boxes/products them selves with the official KYB/Eibach web pages. So, I guess my question is, Which way should we install the rear springs? Thanks in advance, and quick answers would be appreciated as we're tryin to get it done today. Thanks again.

You really need to install them lettering right-side-up since they are progressive rate springs. Right now I'm looking at my new set of Sportlines that I'm getting ready to install with Konis today and the bottom of the spring (where the coils are spaced farther apart) has a smaller diameter than the top. The smaller coil fits perfectly onto the spring seat on my rear Koni shocks. I have no idea why KYB would have made their spring seat that much different
Anyways, you may have to wait and contact KYB and/or Eibach on Monday - I would not recommend mounting them upside down.

That's funny...my friends are the opposite. I think the lettering got printed upside down on his springs because everything else sounds right, except for that. The top, in my friend's case, or the bottom in your case, fits in the perch perfectly and that is where the coils are spaced farther apart. And the diameter at the bottom, in my friends case, or the top in your case, has a slightly larger diameter and the coils are more closely wound. Hmmm... Would you mind taking a pic of yours and posting it up? I really think that they are just printed the wrong way
