I'm coming over to US from Sweden to look at a NHRA Sport compact drag competition in May or Sept/oct. So I wonder if that is any hotels near the track? I can travel a bit because I will rent a car.

there are hotels on rt.33 by the track, about 15min away or so. not sure of any others because i dont drive down them roads.

if you search on yahoo or google. they should provide you with hotels/rest area's in englishtown/old bridge twp.

hotels are englishtown are 75 dollars one weekend a night, and 150 the next. i found this ghetto crackshack thats 50 bucks a night, its like 25 min away though. the things you do when your poor

 

Damn Joe! I need that address haha! Last time we went to Englishtown, we stayed at the Holiday Inn in Jamesburg. Nice place but it was like $250 for two nights. Theres some fucked up hotel tax there i think...its like 11%!

All the hotels I am recommending are on Route 18 in East Brunswick, NJ. I would avoid the hotels close to the NJ Turnpike Exit 8 and 8A. Most of them are far as hell from the track, expensive, and in the middle of f'n nowhere. The ones in East Brunwick are used to housing racers and don't bitch about trailers and usually put up with some minor partying.

The ones I would recommend are.

The Macintosh Inn. They are around $75 night, and they are the closest to the track and its close to about 8 restaurants and a mall. Not luxury, but convienent and there is 24 hour Denny in the same parking lot. Good for those all night motor repair swap session

My favorite place is Motel 6 slightly further north of Macintosh and E-Town, they are right off NJ Turnpike exit 9. They are no frills, but its clean and new. They allow pets for people who want to bring them. They also have truck parking, so there is space for trailers, 18 wheelers and lots of parking. They are also cheap. I paid around $55-$85 when I booked a room for some racers

There is also the Ramada Inn which is usually the official race hotel its almost across from the Motel 6. All the Domestic NHRA guys usually stay there. Its average pricde $75-$125 and there is a steak house on premise. Its nothing special, but does the job.

A little further up (north) from the Ramada is the Hyatt. Its a fancier hotel, housed between two office towers. Its more expensive, in its own complex, there is ample parking, and there is nice restaurant inside. I would choose this one last.

These are the closest hotels and you should be able to get into one of those if you don't book too late. These are all off RT 18 which is a major road and convient to food, bars, major interstates, Pepboys,. As well some of them offer racer discounts. If anyone needs help drop me an IM.
