Workin' on mine now. Adjustable for throw (and possibly height), heavy as possible (good), etc.

And NO, I don't know when it will be done

best advice....wait for the 5th gen Forbidden shifter to come out....IT WILL BE THE BEST FOR YOUR CAR....IT IS THE BEST FOR THE 4TH GEN. AND I DONT THINK JEREMY WILL SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN TEH BEST!

4bidden.. i like your shifters. but is there any way you think you can cut it down another inch or so to make it shorter... By doing so will it affect it's function in any way? If not, will you be able to cut one down for me to purchase? thanks

yea i know it's a half an inch shorter.. but it still sits so high IMO.. i would just like it to be a bit more shorter.. the throws are fine though, that is what counts right? but i want the stick overall to be just shorter

yea i understand that shorter the throws is not based on how short the shifter is.. i am fully aware of that.. and yea.. i also.. know that ROAD racing or any of those sorts want it LONG because they want to be able to shift quick and keep BOTH hands on the steering wheel.. BUUUUUUT.. i would just like my crap to be SHORTER! haha

I want it short like a civic or an integra that has only about a quarter of an inch and the shift **** visiable

You can cut it down however short you would like. You can go down about another 3/4'' as it comes before the shift **** will hit the part of the lever that angles out. If you trim that, you can go farther.

However, I cannot do this for you. I do large runs of the shifters to keep the costs down as much as possible.

will cutting the shifter.. effect the performance in anyway?

reason why i'm asking because i understand that your shifter is sturdy like the oem one and by cutting it, that will make it lighter.. therefore the throws won't be as smooth.. that is what i'm afraid of..

If you cut it shorter I'd suggest not using higher than the middle hole. Decreasing the lever height also decreases the leverage you have on the cables to shift gears. The shorter you make it, the more feedback you will have from the transmission. This DOES NOT mean you are harming the transmission, just means that you are feeling more of what is going on inside the transmission that the rubber bushings on the base plate and ends of the shift cables try to resonate.

You could take it to a machine shop and have them buzz some off the end and re-tap the end for probably $10 or something.

hi i was wondering if i bought a forbidden short shifter and i'm from california (zip code 94619) how long would it take to come? and total for a bronze would cost 133 with shipping? and to make the shifter lower, is the first hole at the bottom the one to put it on? which hole is to make it the same height as the stock height? sorry for the n00b questions.

I have bronze in stock. You would have it within 2-3 days.

The holes adjust the throw distance, not lever height. I suggest the middle hole.

Good idea to cut from there? or little higher little lower?

after cutting i must make it skinny on the top again huh by shaving it then tap-it..

gonna be a lot of work.. machine hmm.. would lowes, homedepot do it? those are the only machine shop that i can think of with actual machines to do so.. suggestions.

Well you can thread all the way down to where it gets bigger to gain the extra .5-.75'' I mentioned. Other than that you'll have to find a machine shop in your area to trim the rest.

whats the diff between 4th gen and 5th gen.. accords and preludes? I bought a h22 swap not to long ago and it didnt come with shifter and cables. The dude that i bought the motor from told me he will find me cables and shifter and he did, but i dont even know what car it came from, but it works. Is there any homework i should do before i get a short shifter or will they all be compatible?

If you did a H series swap in your Civic you're likely running 4gen Accord since they are the easiest and cheapest to find. Do you have a picture so I can confirm?
