Default Spark Plug Wire Question

Ok...quick question my spark plug wires are on fine, but one of the boots seems to pop off...and the suction looking thing that you press on to push to the boot pops off...I want to know if this will matter...my car seems fine with no mis-fire, which is what a wire that is not on right would cause, correct? I pull the wire out a little from the end so it presses down correctly and seals, but if I do that I am afraid that the connector won't make a connection with the spark plug and cause a mis-fire..any help would be great...

On a side note..I just bought my password JDM magnetic drain plugs..and I have a car with a few free oil changes so I decided to go down there and have them put it on for me..I handed it to this young guy..he immediately knew it was a JDM mag. plug...he said sure no problem I'll put it on for you...when the oil change was finished...I asked him if I could have my old plug he said, "I threw it away, I can get it if you want, but it is in the big container of oil"..I said "no, that's cool don't worry about it" I parked across the street...looked to see if it was there and to my amazement the same old dirty plug was still on there...I immediately drove back and said "hey, I gave him a brand new plug to put on and he never replaced it" he then told the guy what had happened and he said that he was looking for it right now...the young guy came back and said "I accidentally tossed it in the oil, I must've gotten them confused" HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THE OLD STOCK PLUG AND A BRAND NEW PASSWORD JDM PLUG CONFUSED? There is a big difference....so he took my car to the back..and took off the old plug and tryed to swap them without having to change the oil again, but the idiot burned himself by the oil in the process, serves him right!!! and he had to poor some more oil in my car to fill it up again...my advice is if you take your car in for an oil change ALWAYS check to make sure they have put the right plug on before you leave....Ok that story is over...now if someone can answer my spark plug wire question
