Default REar caliper is too tight when it goes back on!

sup guys just did my rear brakes.....with the e brake off......and i compressed the piston with a large flathead and the caliper went on smoothly, but then when i tighten it , its very hard to spin the rotor by hand.....what am i doing wrong??? thanks

correct size rotor? are you doing upgrades of any kind? spacer/washer issues?

Also, did you put the tire on and pump the brakes at all? They gotta like work themselves back into position. cause this happened to me, well I could move the rotor but it was hard, I hit the brakes and they like opened up more.

Compress/turn the piston all the way in as far as it can go in. Then put the caliper on. There's always going to be resistance when you try and turn a rotor by hand. When you get in the car, pump the brakes a few times to get the pad seated onto the rotor.

Without the rotor, does the caliper move freely on the mounting pins?

Maybe you didn't get the tab on the inner brake pad into one of the 4 slots on the caliper piston.
