Default lowering springs used on GC perches

I have some H&R race spring and it's not as low as i thought it would be ... do you think by swapping in the GC perches and cut a few coils would work or is that a stupid idea?

here is how my car look like with the H&R race and agx , i have no idea why the rear is this ridiculously high though i have a stripped interior but those plastic doesn't even weigh that much to start with.

any idea or suggestion would be GREATLY appreciated since i searched everywhere and talked to so many people about it. the part number on the absorbers are right and everything is installed without cutting the bumpstops which is recommended and its not even hitting the bump stop.

here is a picture to show what im talking about...

help help

h&r usually has that stance... just cut a few of the coils out in the back.

that looks like something is wrong as its still near stock height in the back. If H&R Race don't lower the rear at all thats odd cause usually they give a 2"+ drop on other models.

Also, hope your lugs aren't tuner extended lugs like they look like, tuner lugs are only designed for aftermarket wheels not stock ones.

Cutting coils is never a good idea ever. You will get mystery spring rates and its just not a good idea

Something does't look right. Is it normal for the spring to be compressed that much?

well my wheels were stolen hence the steelies.....

it's suppose to be progressive rate so the upper part is the dead spring....

so i will have to cut a few coils off?

do you guys have picture of oether EF or crx with the race?

i felt this is so weird...... i mean if you said it is normal for race to give such a stance..... the front it lowered 2.25" correctly but not the rear... it looks higher than a stock car.

any idea or suggestion would be appreciated

did you buy the springs for the specific vehicle or did you buy them used? maybe you put the front springs on the rear and the rear on the front? the taller springs go on the front.

something is wrong, i had a crx with rsr springs and it was way lower than that, rsr were a 1.75 drop and there was about a finger between the wheel and tire, h and r should be 2.25 to 2.5 for the crx so it should be tucking a little. you said the ground control perches are not installed right now? from my research the part number for the springs you got should be pt# HR-51807-8

no the perches are not in at all just wondering if it could be done.

now it is still like this just the H&R race springs...and the number you mention matches the spring i have on the car .... it is 51807-88......weird isn't it

i did not install the spring perch but i was thinking it could be an idea to lower the rear more....

now its just sitting with lowering springs.....i saw another crx having the exact same problem i have with the same race/agx on a crx

looks like you got the right springs, maybe you should take one of the rears off and lay everything out and take a pic of it. maybe someone will see something out of place or something. i cant make any assumptions on what can be wrong because im not there to take everything apart myself.

on most of the springs i have bought they have been stamped with numbers and then an f or a r after the number, f for front and r r for rear, thats the only thing i can think of is that maybe the springs were put backs on the front and fronts on the back. if you put them on right then i would just buy a different set of springs

May cause a lot of squeeking if used with purches +cut. I did something simular (different purches, not GC ones) and it squeeked to high heaven. Drove me NUTS.
