Default OBX intake manifold

So I got kinda interested in the obx intake manifold and figured why not use one. For only 135 bucks its not that bad. Well I just put it on today and wow. This is quite possibly the biggest piece of **** ever. Everyone is going to say you should have know but half the people on here just hate on obx cause it dont cost 400 bucks. For 135 if it made any improvement it would be worth it. Well it DOES NOT make any more power than the stock z6 I had on the car before. Installing this thing is what makes it the worst thing ever created on the planet. The manifold really hits the brake booster bad.(EF's) and the vibration it casues is annoying as hell. Also the stock nuts that hold the manifold in place DO NOT fit. I had to grind the lip off of them and use the smaller header bolts and grind them as well. Also the fuel rail part of this is reallt crooked and makes it very hard to fit the fuel rail on it. All in all this a VERY shitty product. Absolutly horrable and a huge waste of money. Does not fit properly at all and makes little to no horsepower gains. The only good thing about this is that it could be used as a great ITB project. Oh yea .....its hella crome great for that Stunna look! Just thought Id share my experiance with everyone since theirs not alot of real info on this manifold.

Good to know. I'm glad I didn't buy one. I kind of had the same mentality as you, but wasn't crazy enough to actually buy it. Now I'm glad I didn't.

Wow, Im glad I didnt buy one also, the fitment of that looks horrible. Is it just me or is the neck that extends from the plenum to the TB smaller than the diameter of the TB itself? Wow, it is blingbling but I wouldnt be able to sleep at night with it hitting the brake fuild resivoir like that.

Thanks for the tip. Sorry it sucks.

Actually had a friend that used that on a d16z6 boosted setup and blew the welds off by the trottle body.
