I already have a head. and a Built block. But I am buying this for a friend. I am sending my block in to get built. it is a B18A1. I am sending this in on monday. Is the B20A3 any better than the B18A1? If it is PLEASE let me know.

Yes.
It's radically different from the rest of the B-series motors. It's old and generally useless, I hear, as well. VTEC heads will not bolt up. Mounting it might be a problem too - it won't use B-series mount positions, having been previously mounted in a larger Prelude. Don't waste your money.

wish i wouldve seen this thread sooner i saw the guys at the top tellin u it was ok, almost shot myself for this stupidity. it is COMPLETLEY different throw it away
Seems to be a big problem around here. Someone asks if a b20a will work and 30 genius' say yes before some guy with half a brain or reading comprehension says. You guys realize a b20a is from a prelude and is best used as a boat anchor.
Sorry man but you're not the only one that has fell victim to the notorious misinformation bug that has plagued half the users on honda-tech.
