well it took me two days but i installed my Apexi WS, (note to self, always use brute force+hammer+13mm socket=14mm rusted bolt be gone). after drivin for a day with it, it sounds great and all, but i hear this metal clanging noise when i downshift hard and break, rattiling, i was wondering if it was normal or i shud look and retighten the bolt conecting to the muffler?

for those of you wondering how i like it. The best 350 bux ive spent!

 

umm, mine doesn't make any weird clanky noise.

 

bend the heat shield out of the way. i had this problem over a year ago, and I remember my WS was hittin the heatshield....

 

i had the same problem with my apex n1 (the n1 and ws use the same piping, axle-back is the only difference). Look at where its making contact at the S-pipe heatshields. Just bend it and you're set.

 

would there be any harm in just removing the heatshielding? is it necessary?

 

i removed all my heatshields. no probs.
