yeah, i know weird question right...well not for a good friend of mine with a pretty decent neon. Wants to upgrade the brakeing system in his neon and we both know that the bolt pattern is the same and if possible he could source some pretty cheap brakes from say an accord, civic, teg, lude, from a junk hard with the hardware if it would work, even with some mild modification. Already checked into the prices and brake assemblies for assorted cars at a few yards runs between 20-40 bucks per. Figured it might be worth a try for him. If no one knows what would be important information to find out to see weather any components would fit? Oh yeah, he has upgraded to 15" RT wheels so he is no longer using 14" so fitment on most brakes shouldn't be a problem.

What does the ACR neon have?? Maybe get some from that car... or the R/T???

 

neon boards for some reason flame for asking any questions reguarding hondas. .....cant imagine why. The RT and the ACR are very hard to come by plus, i thought some low cost upgrade might be a possibility.

lets think about that one for a second shall we. Maybe because the neon owner really likes how the brakes in my car as well as other cars perform. Maybe he isn't too satisified with the current performance of his stopping system which consists of front discs and rear drums! Maybe he is creative, budget minded, and looking for an effective and different way to get some great brake performance without dropping major cash. Why wouldn't someone want good brakes??

ya know what , im not even gonna fuel an agruement. It was a simple question based on the fact that hte offset and the bolt pattern match. Not specifically from a GSR, but rather anything disc brake, weather it be integra, accord, whatever. But i can see clearly i have no one around open to creativity.

Why so bitter towards neons? Im sure none have ever done anything to you.

 

one answer... COMMON SENSE.

dont fuel something you cant extinguish. same bolt pattern and same offset? then slap on a good set of GSR or LS rims on the neon. same thing as sportin some GSR or LS brakes on it. no point in doing that. nothing against neons... just idiots. enuff said.
