Default testing a head for bent valve

so i have this b18c head thats supposed to have some bent valves. it doesnt have cams so i cant push the valves out. i searched and some people sugested using water or gasoline and pouring it into the ports and see's if it leaks out of the valve. is that a good way to test em?

with out the cams in there, are the valves supposed to be completely seated and sealed up on the head? thank you

yes the valves are supposed to be fully seated without cams installed. just take the valves out and look for damage on the stems.

bring the head to a machine shop and let them check the valves for you.
