I have heard that it's a good idea to prep your bulbs with rubbing alcohol before the install. is this a good idea, i know your not supposed to touch them and it sounds like a good idea to ensure they are clean, but has anyone done this?

Just don't touch them with your fingers. They might explode when they get hot.

 

yeah it is a good idea to clean the bulb with rubbing alcohol...that way it will take away all of the oils that are on the bulb if you or someone else touched it..i do it all the time when i replace the headlight

I use this technique and my PIAA bulbs (infamous for short life spans) lasted me more than 8 months and do alot of nighttime driving........plus I've got the Catz Zetas......
