Friend has a couple ?'s about Injen intake for his '01 lude.
He would like to know if you have to cut anything in order to install the Injen, how does it compare to AEM and Iceman, and where is the cheapest place to buy one? Thanks!

Nothing needs to be cut in order to install the Injen. As far as comparing the three goes it really depends on wich intakes. What made him decide Injen? They are pretty good but I haven't really seen any true dyno's for them. With AEM you really can't go wrong. High quality and available in a couple different finishes unlike the Injens "standard polished silver." All in all, intakes are very easy to install and you'll have no trouble what so ever. If anything the hardest part (not very hard) will be removing the stock intake/resonator.
um that and injens are more expensive than aems, at least in my experience, and yes you do have to cut to use a cold air intake, unless it is the iceman
short ram intakes are no modification.
the resonator is a PITA, but thats the worst part of it all, and not all that bad.

I like Injen (dont' have one though) because you can buy just the short ram.
I know, a lot of people want the cold air, but anyway, http://www.groupbuycenter.com has a special on these right now, not bad pricing.
I think I would go AEM for CAI, but for short ram, Injen gets my vote.
