I remember seeing a thread about a week or two ago with a car (EG maybe?) that had one of those carbon kevlar looking race seats with no padding (just the shell).

I searched, but couldn't come up with anything.

Does anyone have any pics of these seats?

you know what the back of those carbon kevlar seats look like? with the yellow/black weave? that is what the whole seat looked like. ie: no padding to sit on, just the carbon shell.

 

its probably just a seat with the cover taken off. you can take them off to clean them and what not.

looked at their website and found the usual kevlar shell seats, but none without the cover.

but... im not having trouble finding an actual seat with a carbon/kevlar shell, but specifically the seat i am referring to.

someone mentioned that the seats are sold without the cover/etc, but others have said that they are simply carbon/kevlar seats with the cover removed.

does anyone have a definative answer?

 

try checking out the Bride Low Max, it's a carbon kevlar seat. Why on earth would you want no padding?

im pretty sure your talking about the VIS seat... but its discontinued as far as i know.
its just carbon kevlar with no padding.

well... i dont necessarily. but my daily driver is my track (hpde) car, so i kind of want/need the support of a full bucket seat. but im also sick of tearing up the cover on my seat from sliding in and out of it so many times a day. i always screw up the outer edge of the seat closest to the door

well we are currently looking for a supplier in Japan right now. and they will have fabric. so ill keep people posted in our seat threads.

 

cool. i was looking at yalls website... i suppose i could just pull the cover off your s68 carbon fiber seat for the same effect... no?

 

actually there will be foam stuck to it. but if youd like.. have at it. it will just take a bit of clean up. the cover doesn't exactly remove from the shell that easy. PM me if you can!
