brakes upgrade question in dx
ey, i just came from the discount auto parts to get the master cylinder for my dx civic, but i didn't buy it because the guy right there told me to get the si model or acura model, because those got more power boost in brake time...it's that true? because he told me that i need a booster thing but i dont remember exactly... somebody upgraded their brakes before in a dx model? because my brakes at this moments sucks...my mechanic told me that's my problem, the master cylinder, so i wanna know to buy the stock one, or upgrade it. thanks.
Yep. You'll have to buy the brake booster and master cylinder from the Integra. It shows how to install it here. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=820484
Alternatively, you could install the 1991 Civic EX master cylinder on the stock booster. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=364783

Its a straight forward process. The only "hard" part is bleeding the brakes; bench bleed the MC first and then do a regular brake bleeding at all four wheels. If you want to upgrade to rear disc brakes, now is a good time.
