My car's brakes were fine for a long time and all of a sudden the rear brakes started to squeel just after I start driving the car. After a few blocks the brakes do not squeel and work fine. What is up with that?

 

Some pads will squeal when theyre cold
Have you looked at them for wear, lately?

 

Could just have been rust. It happens.
