This doesn't really make sense. Are you trying to adjust your valves? If so I assume you are trying to find out if your piston in the cylinder that you are trying to adjust the valves is at TDC. One way to find out is to remove the spark plug for that particular cylinder and put a long screwdriver down the hole, then hand turn the crank and you can see when the screwdriver reaches its peak then you are at TDC, just make sure you are on the compression stroke so adjust your valves in the correct firing order to make it easier.

?? Um...you look at them? You do realize you have to take off the valve cover to adjust your valves and you can look at the arrows. I'm pretty sure there is a diagram in the Acura Service Manual for this. Oh, and if the arrows on the cam gears are pointing straight up, that's TDC for Cyl 1 only, beyond that I've never looked at them for doing valve adjustments.

like everyone has said already, look at the gears while you are turning the crank. If you make sure you turn the crank exactly 180* each time you will be good to go.

This is a valve lash adjustment correct? If so you don't have to have each cylinder at exactly TDC. The important thing is that you do the adjustment with all valves CLOSED. It can be a few degrees before or after TDC and it will be fine.

Just make sure before adjusting the valve lash on each cylinder that the cam lobes are pointing up and away from each rocker arm. So for the intake valves, look to see that the cam lobes point up and to the rear of the car. On exhaust, make sure the lobes point up and towards the front of the car. This means all valves are closed and you can properly adjust valve lash for that cylinder.
