Depends on the aftermarket part. It's all relative to how you'll be driving the car and how well you maintain it. For the most part, if parts are installed properly and don't contribute to the failure of a stock component, the dealership doesn't have a right to void the warranty. The main variable is your relationship with your dealer since they are an independent body to the manufacturer.

warranty...whats that? rofl

IMO as long as your not rebuilding the motor you are ok. Bolt ons are just bolt ons. So many just bolt on things, and if something goes wrong they take them off and try to make a warranty claim.

On my old civic, my dealer told me a catback would void my warranty. Their service dept. sucks at life. If you do mod, just be ready to foot the bill.

this is my honest opinion. i think of it as "you got to pay to play" if i break something that i know would've happened, i fix it. if it's something that i feel is faulty then i take it in. just for ***** and giggles after i get the boost in. i think i'm going to drive it to honda and ask if it voids my warranty. i just want to see that look on their face ...

just go with the basics if you don't want the warranty voided

Besides s2ki's front page story?

I mod the car to suit my purpose for it. My goals are: reliability, consistent performance, and quality.
