Anyone using Ground Controls with stock shocks on a RSX???
I just bought some used Ground Controls for my 04 RSX that were supposedly off a stock shock set up and i cant seem to get them to fit? I heard that in some set ups need grinding/machining to fit coil-over hardware, will that solve my problem? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
What exactly is the problem? I installed Skunk2's on an RSX a few years back, refresh my memory and I should be able to guide you through it.
I remember something about having to remove the gold collar on the shock because the Skunk2's wouldn't go all the way down. Also, the mount where the stock springs used to sit needs to be modified. Obviously because the stock springs had a larger circumference and the Ground Controls are smaller. Just use a dremel and don't take too much off. You'll see what I mean, where the springs seat.
Post some pics if you can.

Did you get just the springs or the coilovers? Because depending on which one you got its either a simple answer, or a very complicated one.

Dont you have to use after market shock with the coilovers. Atleast for the front the stock shocks are part of the entire strut assembly, not like you can just swap out the shocks.

i emailed the guy i bought them from he said they were used for a stock set up both front and rear...and then i emailed GC and they said itll work but i need some extra parts...other people have told me that they just made it fit some how

i have GC on my type s and when you buy them you can pick between 2 different settings, STOCK SHOCKS or AFTERMARKET and i think the list of shocks were Koni, Tokico, or KYB so yeah that might help you out a bit. the difference is one is bigger around than the other, for stock shocks they are alittle smaller i think, so yeah
