I've owned an 89 Integra,a 98,and now have a 91 and I can say that I liked the 89 the best, and despite having only 118 hp,they're the lightest Integra of all 3 generations, despite having a crappy suspension (torsion bars up front and solid axle in rear). The D16a3 is basically the same as the JDM ZC engine despite making a few less hp.Try the basics first, intake, header, exhaust, etc.I have seen one turbocharged that made 250 hp to the wheels (expect to spend alot of $$$).

I'd say a hand grenade would be a good mod for that car...but seriously, no, the 90-93 Integra parts are not interchangable with the earlier model Integra. There's nothing you can really get cheaply that will make the car "faster", but you can do lots of stuff to make it more fun to drive. I'd say slap on a short ram ebay intake and be done with it. It will cost you $20 and the car will sound more menacing and it wont cost you as much as a header or exhaust. Save up some loot for a another car, and resist the urge to throw a lot of money into this one, esp if you on a limited budget right now.

I think you have to use parts that were made for the first gen crx. BTW: put up some pics. I like first gens.

bump,

First,, Go to http://www.G1TEG.org thats the master site fo ya car,
I owned a 87 integra ls for alittle over a year, and it was in the family for 12 years, Never had a problem, SOld it for $650, and now I own a 90 integra rs,
And I'v spent5K on it, wish I kept my DA3,

Well, start with thebasics, Intake, Header, and exhuast.

if you really want power, Buy a B18 and swap it in useing Hasport mounts, Hasport finally came out for a D to B engine mounts for the 1st gen tegs,

ok, so, Intake, Header, Exhuast,
Fill the mounts with hard window cylicon (sp?) it will do the same thing as ES motor mount inserts, And susp. You can get to Mild hard T-bars for the front for $240 , check g1teg.org, and then get GC coilovers for the rear, and go with
Tokico 5-way for the shocks,

I dont mean to jack your thread, Just givin you some G1 lovin, here are pics of my old DA3

Good Luck

WRONG. I'm sry but please do not spread wrong information,
Many parts from certain cars can be put on other cars.

The 90-91 Cold are intake, the short ram part will fit your 1st gen, throw away the cold air part becuase it wont fit.
But the 1st half of the intake will fit. thats what I had on mine, (see pics)
