Default JDM Fog lights. Everything done right. Fogs work. But the buz is still there. Please Help?

Hey guys... I bought JDM fog lights, 4th gen Prelude> pre wired for them.

1) Bought the relay from honda
2) Shorted out the switch connector (red/yellow, and red/green wires with a pin)

Fogs lit up no problem. But the relay would buzz. So I went back to honda and had it replaced. Same problem. Fogs go on, but the relay BUZZING like crazy. What am I doing wrong?!?! I am so frustrated right now guys. I feel as if I did everything right. What could be wrong. My only idea is the switch. But shouldnt I be able to short it out and have them working? ???

EDIT: Maybe I have to ground the pin that I used to short the two wires together? Argh

what is the honda part number for the relay you purchased?

Yes it sounds like a ground issue.... the 4th gens with the center console switching has the plug right next to the hazard switch the early 90s models had it in the tweeter drivers side area....

2201 I think? My prelude is 1996, yeah thats the wire i shorted out, the one that was taped to the hazard button harness.

Man these fools are confusing me..... IS honda making fog light switches and parts again for our mid 90s preludes or what? how are you getting relays and switches for fog lights that have not been in production for 10 or so years?

If you used a paperclip which I am sure that you did and it buzzes the relay. Then try and use one of the other switches (hazard, cruise, half switch whatever that plugs into and see if it works. I would like to do some fogs but 200 bucks is a lot of money for used parts.....

Can you guys point out which switch I need???
http://www.partsamerica.com/Pr...ights

Ok I went to Advance Auto parts and got my self just a regular switch.... I seen some toggle switches and it has AMP ratings on them. WTF? Ok I am a bit lost maybe thats my problem I dont have the right Amperage on this switch?? It was just a platic ON/OFF switch with which I wired to the switch connector. Once again the FOGs are working fine but the buzzing is still there. ANY Ideas guys???

Ogh and....
Also should the Hazard switch be plug and play with the fog light harness? Because it's plugs right in but once i hit hazard switch with fogs pluged ito it the fogs don't go on.

Yeah it's no biggie I am just trying to see if the buzzing is caused by the switch and was thinking maybe Hazard switch is the same as the FOg light switch and maybe if I pluged it in it would work fine and wouldnt buz.

But anyways....
So I bought a switch and its still buzzing. Argh damn this **** stressing me out.

i think i know what the buzzing is.... its not your fog light relay its the headlight relay it happens to me rarely but sometimes when i turn my headlights on with the fogs it buzzes, all you have to do is switch it to your high beams and then the buzzing stops and then switch it back to your low beams and your good to go... i dont know if its the same thing or not but i found this to help my situation. i have a jdm fog light switch wired up and everything works fine it buzzes very rarely!!

damn man, I hope when I get my fogs I don't have this much of a problem... are yours white or yellow just out of curiouity...? I'm getting whites since yellows I found were way more expensive... maybe some day when I have the cash I'll upgrade... I'm getting mine w/ just the lights w/ the shrouds and connectors for $80

I have clear not yellow. Looks better on a black car. I am going to throw yellow bulbs in there tho. Just overall cleaner look.

You guys I am thinking and could it POSSIBLY be because I have HID's and fogs just go crazy because HIDs are lower voltage?!?! So it thinks some thing is not right.

it took me about a week or so to find the plug in my 93 Si. On my car, it was located behind the main harness after taking of the tweeter cover. At first i was searching the wires from the front (facing the driver) of the main harness and then started tugging on some of the wires from the back and sure enough, the green connector popped out.
