the metal sleeve is a big socket that gives you clearance to push it back on.. i think..

why go through the trouble of swapping used lower ball joints when new ones are about $22 each?

i think they're 50$ a pair @ honda... and i have a set of OEM 1's that are in pretty good condition. that is why i would rather use them instead of some autozone stuff.

To get my ball joints out of my knuckles, I used a deep 19mm impact socket, and hammered them out.

To replace them I bought a big C clamp and used the method pictured by the harbor freight tool. Also - the first C clamp I used was from harbor freight and broke on me while I was clamping! I used a sears clamp after that.. there is a reason why they are so beefy!
