Default ca dmv written tests

does anyone have old written test from california.

i have been reading the manuel and taking practice tests online for 2 weeks now, i just want to know if the practice tests are similar or the same.

you do not need to post the tests, i just want to know how many questions and if they are similar to the practice tests and how many you are allowed to miss

thanks

The permit test is really not that hard. If you've done ok on the online ones, you'll do fine. IIRC, there were 25 and I wasn't allowed to miss more than 6. But things may have changed.

Have you taken your C-class permit test within the past year (or maybe it was two years...)? If not, you'll need to retake that one, too.

This page should help.

it sounds like you're more than prepared. I didn't study at all for the test, and with no previous riding experience i only missed one question.
It really should be a little more challenging.

If you have any test taking skills....you'll pass. Don't worry about it.

Just don't get dumb questions wrong like my friends.

Q: Does the passenger put their feet down when coming to a stop?

Dummy Answer: Yes.

You might have to take the car written test again too. All the questions on the bike written test are very easy but I remember some are a little tricky on the car written test. I remember I missed a question where it was like how many cars trail you until you have to pull over and let them go by on a 1 lane road. I dont even remember the answer.

if you read the dmv booklet, you'll pass the test with no problems at all. The practice tests are also VERY similar to the test they give you. The test is so easy, I took it and filled it out in less than, I kid you not, 1 MINUTE. I took it back so fast the lady thought I was BS'ing her. I didnt miss any

Good luck

edit:
I havent taken the Automobile DMV test in over 5 years and they didnt make me take it again.. but I studied for that just incase too.

Easiest test of all..... don't sweat it, even if you fail, all you have to do is pay the $12 bucks and start all over......

i just took the test last week. 25 questions, you are allowed to miss 4 or less. It's weird everybody thinks the car test is easier than the motorcycle. It's the other way for me. I had to take the car one again when I wanted my motorcycle permit and I passed it with ease, I had to take the motorcycle test twice. Just read the entire book, which is very thin, and you'll be fine.
