I'm putting in a B18C5 in my 1997 civic hatch and I'm planning on getting the HKS HI-POWERED exhaust from http://www.af-performance.com/...&pg=1.

Now for this exhaust setup, will i need to do any modifications such as lengthening of the piping if I'm just going to use the stock headers that come with the B18C??

Also now that were on this topic, say in the future I buy new headers (MUGEN), will the piping still be okay for the mugen headers??

 

I think the only problem you're gonna have in the future is the whole 2.5" collector on the mugen header part. Where you'll have to get a new cat/test pipe, which you'd probably end up doing anyway.

in that thread an smsp made better than 10hp above the mugen. its more expensive but 10hp is quite a bit... but then again it isnt all jdm-ariffic

as for the Type-R headers, aren't they 2.5'' stock? or am i just wrong

 

OEM B18C exhaust manifold is pretty nice for stock. I would spend my money somewhere else first imo.
